The ACCUPRO 311940 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. It features a 1 inch diameter with a 0.25 inch corner radius, a 4.25 inch length of cut, and a 7 inch overall length. The 5-flute geometry with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at elevated feed rates. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in hardened steels, stainless, and high-temperature alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in job shop, production, and toolroom environments.
The 311940 is suited for roughing and finishing operations in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Its extended 4.25 inch length of cut makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, side milling, and profiling passes where a standard-length end mill cannot reach. The variable index feature helps reduce harmonic chatter during deep-cavity cuts. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. This end mill is a single-end tool, and the 1 inch shank diameter fits directly into standard ER or CAT/BT collet and end mill holder systems without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock cutting tool for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 1 inch shank diameter end mill holder or collet chuck.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the shank fully in a clean, properly sized end mill holder or collet to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retention mechanism. Inspect the tool and holder interface for runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Never exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
