The ACCUPRO 311634 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 1/2 inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, it handles slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling with consistent accuracy. The five-flute geometry paired with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. An AlTiCrN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding workpiece materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this end mill suited to demanding material removal tasks.
This end mill is built for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a 1/2 inch shank diameter is the standard tool holding size. Its single-end design and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with conventional right-hand spindle setups. The variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during extended cuts, and the micrograin carbide substrate supports edge integrity in interrupted cuts and side-milling passes. It is suited to dry or minimal-quantity lubrication machining environments where AlTiCrN coatings perform at their best.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder in the HS series configuration.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Seat the 1/2 inch shank fully and evenly in a precision collet or hydraulic holder to maintain runout within acceptable limits. Inspect the tool holder and collet bore for chips or debris before seating the end mill. Programmed feeds, speeds, and depth of cut should be set based on workpiece material hardness and machine rigidity before initiating a cut.
