The ACCUPRO 311626 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles aggressive cuts in hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult materials. It features a 0.5 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.090 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. The 38-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, while the variable index geometry helps suppress chatter during interrupted cuts. Machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments rely on this geometry for consistent surface finishes and extended tool life.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, contours, and profiling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting design allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled starter hole, expanding its range of use in 3-axis and multi-axis setups. The single-end configuration and 3 inch overall length make it compatible with standard ER and hydraulic toolholders with a 1/2 inch bore. It is applicable in aerospace, die and mold, automotive, and general metalworking industries where tight tolerances and edge integrity are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for 1/2 inch bore toolholders used in CNC and conventional milling operations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Apply the manufacturer-recommended torque specification for the toolholder type in use. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and compromise surface finish.
