The ACCUPRO 311568 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrTiN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles hardened materials and aggressive feed rates with consistent edge integrity. It features a 3/8 inch diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, while the variable index flute spacing reduces chatter and harmonic vibration. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical and horizontal milling machines across aerospace, die-mold, and precision job shop applications.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in the workpiece. The 5-flute, single-end configuration supports higher feed rates compared to standard 4-flute designs, making it practical for both slotting and peripheral milling. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank corner radius end mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting 3/8 inch straight shanks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth per the toolholder manufacturer's specification and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Avoid side-loading the tool beyond its rated depth of cut to prevent premature edge chipping or tool breakage.
