The ACCUPRO 311503 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 5/16-inch diameter, a 13/16-inch length of cut (0.8125 inches), and a 2-1/2-inch overall length. The 5-flute, single-end configuration with a 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlCrTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting harder workpiece materials. The corner radius end type, measuring 0.0600 inches, reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and is used by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
The 311503 is suited for milling operations on ferrous and hardened materials where corner radius geometry is required to blend radii into part features. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting action make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Its variable index geometry helps reduce harmonic chatter during aggressive side milling passes. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-speed finishing and semi-finishing cuts in steel and alloy applications.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 5/16-inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and compatible milling equipment.
Installation of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped before tool changes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to confirm proper seating before initiating a cutting cycle.
