The ACCUPRO 311222 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in metal cutting and precision machining applications. With a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) mill diameter, four flutes, and an AlTiCrN (aluminum titanium chromium nitride) coating, this end mill delivers wear resistance and thermal stability under demanding cutting conditions. The 38-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds compared to standard carbide grades. It is a single-end tool with a right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction, suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The 311222 is intended for use in industrial and job-shop environments where contoured or radiused surfaces are required. The ball-end geometry makes it well-suited for 3D profiling, slotting, and finishing passes on hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other ferrous materials commonly encountered in die, mold, and general component machining. The standard-length configuration and straight-cylindrical shank make it compatible with conventional collet and end mill holder setups. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool. Use a properly sized collet or shrink-fit holder to achieve minimal runout, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling. Verify cutting parameters against the workpiece material grade before engaging the tool.
