The ACCUPRO 310263 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.5 inch (12.70 mm) mill diameter, a 0.625 inch length of cut, and a 38-degree helix angle for aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The cutting edges are coated with AlTiCrN, a hard physical vapor deposition coating that resists heat and wear during high-speed steel and stainless steel cutting. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and edge retention. This end mill is a single-end, center-cutting tool installed by machinists and CNC operators on vertical and horizontal milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill suits production and job-shop environments where ferrous and hardened materials are machined at high surface speeds. The variable index design reduces harmonic chatter during interrupted cuts and full-slot applications. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting rotation match standard CNC spindle configurations. The HS Series designation indicates a high-performance geometry optimized for longer tool life in demanding cutting conditions. The 4-flute configuration balances chip clearance and cutting-edge strength for both slotting and peripheral milling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill compatible with standard 0.5 inch end mill holders, ER32 collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders used on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. The shank must be fully seated in the toolholder to the recommended gauge length before tightening to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Always inspect the collet or holder bore for wear or contamination before mounting. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder style in use; do not exceed maximum RPM ratings for the tool diameter and material being cut.
