The ACCUPRO 310100 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter with a 0.0200 inch corner radius, a 4-flute configuration, and a 38-degree helix angle. The cutting edges are coated with AlCrTiN for improved heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length, this centercutting tool handles both plunge and peripheral milling. The micrograin solid carbide substrate supports tighter tolerances and longer tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. It is sold as a single-end tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments. Typical applications include profiling, slotting, and contouring where a controlled edge radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in the finished workpiece. The variable index geometry helps suppress chatter during aggressive cuts. The 1/4 inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders common in both vertical and horizontal machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 1/4 inch shank end mill holders, ER collet systems, and compatible CNC or manual milling machine spindles requiring a corner radius end mill in the HS series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth per the holder manufacturer guidelines, and torque the retention hardware with the appropriate spanner or pull-stud wrench. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
