The ACCUPRO 2500340 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 2-inch length of cut, and a high-performance TiCN coating for extended tool life and improved wear resistance. The 60-degree helix angle promotes aggressive chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces, making it well-suited for high-speed and high-feed machining strategies. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers specify this geometry when surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical requirements.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flute configuration are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. The regular length classification and 1-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER and end mill holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. No extended reach is required for typical cavity and surface work within its 2-inch depth-of-cut range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1-inch straight shank with standard end mill or collet-style toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the toolholder and torque retention screws per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces surface finish quality.
