The ACCUPRO 2500328 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. Built from micrograin carbide, it offers a 1/4 inch cutting diameter with a 3/8 inch length of cut and a 60-degree helix angle that promotes aggressive chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The double-end configuration delivers two usable cutting ends per tool, extending service life. Three right-hand spiral flutes provide a balance of chip clearance and edge strength suited to a wide range of milling applications. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
The 2500328 is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a stub-length, 1/4 inch end mill is required. The 60-degree helix and micrograin carbide construction make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating buildup or material adhesion is a concern, such as aluminum or brass. The 2-1/2 inch overall length and 1/4 inch shank are compatible with standard 1/4 inch collets and end mill holders found on most light-duty to mid-range machining centers.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Stub-length classification is suitable for applications with limited clearance or where reduced overhang is required to minimize deflection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is cleaned and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm proper collet or end mill holder torque per the tooling manufacturer's specifications for the holder type in use. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a cutting operation.
