The ACCUPRO 2500325 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It measures 9/32 inches (0.2813 inches) in diameter with a 7/16 inches (0.4375 inches) length of cut and a 2 inches overall length. The 5-flute configuration paired with a 45-degree helix angle improves chip evacuation and surface finish in finishing and semi-finishing passes. A TiCN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds and feeds compared to standard carbide grades. This stub-length end mill is used by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron applications where a small-diameter, short-length tool is required for rigidity. The stub-length design reduces deflection in tight-tolerance cuts. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It is centercutting, allowing plunge milling when the operation requires it. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general production machining where fine finishes and dimensional accuracy are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production cutting tool for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 5/16 inch round shank with a shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0004 inches.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Secure the shank fully into a collet or end mill holder rated for the spindle speed and cutting loads of the intended operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material and coating type.
