The ACCUPRO 2500320 is a 5-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built to stub-length proportions, it features a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch) cutting diameter and a 5/16-inch length of cut, making it well suited for shallow-depth profiling, slotting, and finishing passes where rigidity and minimal deflection are priorities. The 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work in production environments. The bright/uncoated finish makes this end mill a straightforward choice for general-purpose applications where coating is not required.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills equipped with the appropriate collet or tool holder for a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Stub-length geometry reduces overhang and increases stiffness, which is particularly useful in high-feed, low-depth-of-cut finishing strategies. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard configurations compatible with conventional machine spindle rotation. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry into workpieces without pre-drilling. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in job shops or production facilities.
Designed for use in CNC and manual milling machines with tool holders or collets accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Right-hand cut, right-hand spiral configuration for standard spindle rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill from the tool holder. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder to achieve consistent runout within the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Verify tool projection and stick-out are minimized to maintain rigidity consistent with stub-length tooling design.
