The ACCUPRO 2500298 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. At 7/32 inches (0.2188 inches) in diameter with a 3/8-inch length of cut and a 5-flute configuration, this stub-length end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and a fine surface finish in tight-tolerance applications. The 45-degree helix angle improves shearing action and reduces cutting forces, making it well-suited for high-feed finishing passes. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments will find this tool appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous materials alike.
This end mill fits stub-length applications where rigidity is prioritized over reach. The 1/4-inch shank diameter seats in standard ER collets, end mill holders, or set-screw holders commonly found on VMCs and manual knee mills. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose choice when coating compatibility with the workpiece material is a concern or when re-sharpening is intended. It is a single-end, right-hand cut tool with right-hand flute direction, suitable for conventional or climb milling strategies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/4-inch straight-shank toolholders including ER collet chucks, set-screw holders, and shrink-fit holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an E-stop or tool-change state before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum insertion depth for the holder type in use to prevent pullout under load. Verify runout at the cutting diameter with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut; excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and degrade surface finish.
