The ACCUPRO 2500237 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4-inch cutting diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 5-flute geometry that supports higher feed rates and improved surface finishes compared to standard 4-flute designs. The 45-degree helix angle reduces cutting forces and promotes efficient chip evacuation. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding applications. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a right-hand spiral flute direction.
This end mill is suited for milling operations in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom applications. The stub length profile and 3/4-inch shank diameter make it a practical choice for face milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring where a shorter reach reduces deflection. It is center-cutting, allowing plunge entry into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators working in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys will find this tool compatible with standard milling machine spindles and CNC machining centers using ER or side-lock toolholders sized for a 3/4-inch shank.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or new-installation end mill for standard 3/4-inch ID ER collets, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked. Ensure the toolholder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before commencing the cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and degrade surface finish. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
