The ACCUPRO 2500184 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting applications. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts in steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The 3/8 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 60-degree helix angle and three right-hand spiral flutes to produce efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1 inch length of cut, this is a regular-length tool suited to standard depth milling work. Licensed machinists and tooling professionals install and operate this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
This end mill fits typical production and job shop environments where high-rigidity tooling is required. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for general-purpose milling where a coated tool is not specified. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling as well as peripheral cuts, adding versatility across common milling operations. The 3/8 inch shank diameter is a standard size compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and similar toolholding systems used in both vertical and horizontal milling setups.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, Weldon-style end mill holders, and other 3/8 inch bore toolholding systems used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation and operation of end mills should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Before changing tooling, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is placed in an e-stop or lockout state per shop safety procedures. Confirm the shank is fully seated and the collet or holder is torqued to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Never exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
