The ACCUPRO 2500178 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering operations on a wide range of materials. It features a 3/8-inch cutter head diameter and a 2-flute, double-end configuration with a 90-degree included angle. The TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, extending tool life in production environments. With a right-hand cutting direction and a 3/8-inch shank diameter, it mounts securely in standard end mill holders. Machinists and tooling technicians use this mill in CNC machining centers and manual mills where consistent chamfer geometry is required.
This chamfer mill is suited for chamfering edges on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in both job shop and production settings. The 90-degree included angle makes it appropriate for deburring, edge breaking, and generating precise chamfers on drilled holes, slots, and part perimeters. The double-end design adds versatility. The solid carbide construction provides the rigidity needed for tight-tolerance chamfer work on hardened or abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling would wear prematurely.
Designed as an OEM-style chamfer mill for use in standard 3/8-inch end mill holders and collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 3/8-inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop safety guidelines for tool change procedures and speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material.
