The ACCUPRO 2500173 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, 5-flute geometry, and a 45-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and reduces friction, extending tool life in abrasive cutting conditions. Manufactured from micrograin carbide, the substrate resists chipping and maintains edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting, right-hand flute tool intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, peripheral milling, and profiling operations in production and job-shop environments. The regular-length classification and 1-5/8 inch length of cut make it a practical choice for standard-depth pocketing and contouring work. It is appropriate for use in aerospace, automotive, die-and-mold, and general metalworking applications where tight tolerances and consistent surface quality are required. Machinists and CNC programmers working in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened materials will find the 5-flute count and TiCN coating well matched to those operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank toolholder, collet chuck, or end mill holder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety protocols. Ensure the shank is fully seated and clamped to the minimum recommended engagement depth in the toolholder before operation. Verify runout at the cutting diameter after installation using a dial indicator; excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce dimensional accuracy. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material.
