The ACCUPRO 2500117 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precise chamfering operations on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. With a 3/8 inch cutter head diameter, a 120-degree included angle, and four flutes arranged for right-hand cutting, this tool delivers clean, consistent chamfer geometry in a single pass. The bright, uncoated finish suits a wide range of materials and keeps regrinding straightforward. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 3/8 inch shank diameter, the tool mounts directly into standard collet or end mill holders found on vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This chamfer mill is suited for production and maintenance machining environments where deburring, edge-breaking, and chamfering are routine operations. It performs on mild steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, and plastics. The single-end design makes it a direct fit for tool holders already set up for 3/8 inch shanks, reducing changeover time. Machinists working on part edge preparation, countersink lead-ins, and thread chamfering will find the 120-degree angle covers the most common chamfer callouts on engineering drawings.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank chamfer mill compatible with collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling machine spindles accepting 3/8 inch tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 3/8 inch shank fully into a clean, dry collet or end mill holder before tightening to the spindle manufacturer's specified clamping procedure. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before any tool change.
