The ACCUPRO 20439 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in demanding machining applications. Measuring 15/32 inch (0.4688 inch) in diameter, it features a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that extends tool life by reducing friction and resisting wear at the cutting edge. The 150-degree drill point angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces thrust during entry. With an overall length of 4.75 inches and a three-flute spiral configuration, this bit delivers stability and accurate hole geometry. It is suited for machinists, toolroom technicians, and production shop operators working on CNC or manual drilling equipment.
This jobber drill bit is intended for use in metal cutting and general-purpose drilling applications where carbide tooling is required for hardened materials, high-speed production runs, or tight-tolerance work. The straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard drill chucks and collet systems. The 2.75-inch flute length provides adequate depth capacity for typical jobber-length drilling tasks in a wide range of materials. Conforming to ANSI specification designation standards, it fits into shop inventories alongside other standard-sized drill bits in the 0.4000 to 0.5000 inch diameter range.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit with a straight cylindrical shank, compatible with drill chucks and collet systems accepting 15/32 inch diameter tooling. Fits within the 0.4000 to 0.5000 inch drill bit size range per ANSI standards.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with drill press, lathe, or CNC machine operation. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck or collet before use and verify runout is within acceptable limits. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to high-speed steel — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feeds and speeds, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace if chipping or wear is visible.
