The ACCUPRO 20411 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, composites, and hard plastics. It carries a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that reduces friction and extends cutting life compared to uncoated carbide. The bit measures 9 mm (0.3500 inch) in diameter with an overall length of 4.02 inches and a flute length of 2.13 inches. The 150-degree split-point geometry reduces walking at entry and lowers thrust force during drilling. Right-hand cutting with a regular spiral and straight cylindrical shank makes it compatible with standard drill chucks and quick-change holders. This bit is sold individually and installed by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance mechanics.
The ACCUPRO 20411 suits applications in machine shops, production drilling, and MRO environments where carbide rigidity and TiN coating life outperform high-speed steel alternatives. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held drilling operations where a straight cylindrical shank is accepted. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and three-flute configuration support chip evacuation in medium-depth holes without through-coolant requirements. Typical materials drilled include cast iron, aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and engineering plastics.
Designed as a jobber-length replacement drill bit for use in standard drill chucks and quick-change holders accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the 9 mm diameter class per ANSI specification.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before tightening to prevent slippage under cutting load. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and machine spindle rating. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, as carbide is brittle and can fracture if subjected to interrupted cuts or side loading beyond its rated capacity.
