The ACCUPRO 15024099 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring tight tolerances and fine detail work. With a 0.0600 inch mill diameter, 2-flute spiral geometry, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool produces smooth finishes in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for consistent performance at small diameters. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists working in die, mold, and precision component applications are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, high-speed spindles, and precision milling setups where small-diameter tooling is required. The extended reach design, with a 0.5000 inch neck length and 1.5 inch overall length, allows access to deeper pockets and contoured features without sacrificing rigidity. It is a single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction. Typical applications include mold cavity finishing, micro-slot milling, and contour work on hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles accepting a 0.125 inch straight shank. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 / -0.0003 inch for secure collet or chuck retention.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe state. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125 inch shank diameter to ensure concentricity and minimize runout. Verify tool projection and reach clearance before running the program. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth-of-cut recommendations appropriate to the workpiece material.
