The ACCUPRO 14915625 is a solid carbide taper form barrel cutter end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built with a 30-degree taper angle per side and a 4-flute geometry, this tool delivers efficient material removal and smooth surface finishes on complex contoured workpieces. The AlTiN+ finish coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other difficult-to-machine materials. With a 5/8 inch shank diameter and a 3 inch overall length, it is sized for rigid setups in CNC machining centers used by tool and die makers, mold makers, and precision machinists.
This end mill is suited for 5-axis and 3+2 CNC milling applications where taper or barrel-form geometry is required to machine undercuts, angled walls, and complex 3D surfaces. It is commonly used in mold and die machining, aerospace component production, and precision part manufacturing where a standard straight-flute end mill cannot reach or cannot achieve the required surface quality. The taper form profile allows the tool to engage more surface area per pass, reducing the number of finishing passes needed on curved or sloped features.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use taper form end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 5/8 inch shank in standard collet chucks or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the tool holder to minimize runout and prevent pullout during cutting. Verify tool runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, and follow the machine manufacturer and tool manufacturer guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
