The ACCUPRO 14883993 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring tight tolerances and fine detail work. It features a 0.0394 inch cutter diameter, a 0.058 inch length of cut, and four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. The substrate is micrograin solid carbide, and the cutting geometry is protected by an AlTiN coating that provides thermal resistance during high-speed and hard-material milling. The single-end configuration and 1.5 inch overall length make it suited to close-tolerance finish work in machining centers and CNC mills operated by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This end mill is sized for miniature-series applications where small-diameter cutting tools are required, such as mold and die finishing, engraving, slot milling in small components, and detailed contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute direction are standard. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits common collets used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. It is appropriate for both production shop and prototype machining environments.
Designed as a miniature-series solid carbide ball end mill compatible with standard 1/8 inch collet systems on CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for collet torque and tool runout verification. Confirm the spindle and collet bore are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the cutter diameter, as miniature end mills are susceptible to deflection and breakage under excessive lateral load. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use and replace the tool at the first signs of chipping or coating wear.
