The ACCUPRO 14883985 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance and small-feature applications. With a 0.1181-inch cutting diameter and a 0.1780-inch length of cut, this miniature single-end tool is built for detailed contour work, slot milling, and 3D profiling. The four-flute geometry and 30-degree right-hand helix promote smooth chip evacuation and stable cutting action. An AlTiN coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports precise edge retention at small diameters where tool deflection and runout tolerances are most critical.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed milling operations where small-radius features, fine detail passes, or die-and-mold work demand consistent dimensional accuracy. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders commonly found in vertical machining centers and micro-machining setups. It is appropriate for use on hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and other demanding materials where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous. Machinists and tool-and-die makers working in job shops, aerospace component production, and medical device manufacturing will find this tool applicable to finish and semi-finish passes on complex geometries.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collet or precision toolholder systems on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification using a calibrated torque wrench. At small diameters, verify runout with a dial test indicator before beginning a production cut to minimize the risk of premature tool breakage.
