The ACCUPRO 14883962 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and three flutes, this single-end tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and fine surface finishes in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge retention and rigidity at small diameters where tool deflection is a constant concern. A 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces across the flute length. The bright uncoated finish is well-suited for non-ferrous metals and applications where coating buildup would compromise dimensional accuracy.
This miniature end mill is used in CNC machining centers, high-speed machining cells, and precision die and mold work where small-radius contouring and 3D surface finishing are required. The extended-reach geometry and 0.4-inch neck length allow the tool to reach into deeper pockets and contoured cavities without interference. The 1/8-inch shank fits standard ER collet systems and miniature toolholders common on 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers. Machinists working in aerospace, medical device, and mold manufacturing will find this tool suited to fine-detail passes and finishing cuts.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch ER collet chucks and miniature toolholding systems on CNC machining centers. Part of the ACCUPRO Miniature Series of solid carbide end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully in the collet to the recommended grip length and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. At this diameter, runout control is critical — verify TIR with a test indicator before running production cuts.
