The ACCUPRO 14883949 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling of complex contoured surfaces, cavities, and 3D profiles. At 0.0750 inches in diameter with a 3-flute geometry and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide construction contributes to edge sharpness and rigidity at small diameters. This end mill is appropriate for CNC machining center applications where surface finish and dimensional accuracy are critical requirements.
This miniature-series ball end mill is suited for precision machining operations including die and mold work, medical component machining, aerospace part finishing, and small-feature cavity milling. The extended reach design, with a 0.6250-inch neck length, allows access to deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet systems and toolholders common in vertical machining centers and high-speed spindle setups. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than flipped when the cutting edge is worn.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers with 1/8-inch ER collet toolholders or equivalent precision collet systems; shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 / -0.0003 inches for consistent runout performance in high-speed spindle applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification using the appropriate spanner wrench. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate edge wear and reduce dimensional accuracy.
