The ACCUPRO 14883558 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. With a 0.095-inch cutting diameter and a 0.75-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting conditions, particularly when machining hardened steels, stainless steel, and cast iron. Three right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and a stable cut. The micrograin carbide substrate adds wear resistance and edge retention compared to standard-grade carbide. This is a single-end tool with a right-hand cutting direction.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed milling setups where small-diameter, close-tolerance cuts are required. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders common in die-and-mold work, prototype machining, and general production milling. The 2.5-inch overall length provides adequate reach without sacrificing rigidity at this diameter. It is centercutting, allowing plunge and ramp entry cuts. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8-inch shank collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or tool holder. Seat the shank to the recommended insertion depth per the tool holder manufacturer specification to maintain runout tolerances. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and cutting diameter before engaging the cut.
