The ACCUPRO 14883427 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and alloy materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance that high-speed steel tooling cannot match at elevated feeds and speeds. The cutter features a 1/8 inch diameter, three spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, and a bright uncoated finish for use in applications where coatings are not required or where dimensional precision at the cutting edge is critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators rely on this geometry for slotting, profiling, and plunge cuts in confined workspaces.
This end mill is suited to CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindle applications handling ferrous and non-ferrous stock. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and precision tool holders without adapters. A 1-7/8 inch length of cut allows full-depth passes in shallow-to-medium pockets, while the 3 inch overall length keeps deflection manageable. It is commonly used in tool rooms, production shops, and prototype machining environments requiring tight-tolerance small-diameter work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 1/8 inch shank end mills via ER collet or precision tool holder systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the correct gauge-line depth in the collet or tool holder and torque the nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating the first cut, and confirm feeds, speeds, and depth of cut are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
