The ACCUPRO 14881966 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-precision milling operations at very small diameters. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 0.0312-inch mill diameter and a 30-degree helix angle, making it well suited for contour milling, slotting, and finish work in tight geometries. The three-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with rigidity at this scale. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless alloys, and other demanding materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working on precision components will find this tool appropriate for fine detail work.
This ball end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter tooling is required. The extended-reach design and 0.0930-inch neck length allow access to recessed features and deep pocket profiles without interference. A 1/8-inch shank diameter suits standard collet holders commonly used in precision and miniature machining setups. Typical applications include die and mold work, medical component machining, aerospace detail parts, and electronic hardware where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required.
Designed as a miniature series single-end ball end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet holders used in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle systems requiring small-diameter solid carbide tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in a clean, undamaged collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the holder manufacturer specification. At this diameter, tool runout must be minimized — verify TIR with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout will accelerate breakage.
