The ACCUPRO 14881961 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in miniature and fine-detail applications. With a 0.0469 inch (3/64 inch) mill diameter and a 0.07 inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small features, slots, and contoured surfaces. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention at small diameters where tool deflection and breakage are primary concerns. Three flutes with a 30-degree right-hand helix generate efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish. The bright uncoated surface finish makes this a versatile choice across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups handling small-part production, mold and die work, and prototype machining. The extended reach design, with a 0.48 inch neck length, allows access to recessed features without excessive tool overhang. A 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and small-diameter toolholders common in precision shops. Single-end configuration with spiral flutes and no chipbreaker keeps the geometry clean for fine finishing passes.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter. Fits standard ER11 and ER16 collet systems commonly used in miniature and precision milling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. At this diameter, runout control is critical — use a high-quality collet in good condition and check runout before cutting. Do not exceed recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material; small-diameter carbide tools are susceptible to breakage under excessive load or vibration.
