The ACCUPRO 14797566 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It carries a 0.1 inch cutting diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and a 0.75 inch length of cut. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting action at elevated speeds. An AlTiN coating extends tool life in hard and abrasive workpiece materials by reducing heat transfer into the carbide substrate. The micrograin carbide construction supports rigidity at small diameters where deflection is a primary concern. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. It is sold as a single-end tool and is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for small-diameter tooling.
This end mill is suited for finish profiling, slotting, and contouring operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a controlled corner break or radius blend is required. The miniature series designation makes it appropriate for mold and die work, medical component machining, aerospace detail parts, and other applications demanding small-diameter cutting tools. A 1/8 inch shank diameter allows direct mounting in standard collets and tool holders sized for small-bore tooling. The 30-degree helix angle balances axial cutting forces with chip flow in both conventional and climb milling passes.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines equipped with collet systems accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet and tool holder bore are clean and free of chips before seating the 1/8 inch shank. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before beginning the operation, as runout beyond acceptable tolerance accelerates edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut appropriate to this diameter and coating.
