The ACCUPRO 14797550 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive materials common in tool-and-die, mold, and aerospace work. The cutter measures 0.05 inches in diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius and a length of cut of 0.625 inches. Four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix provide efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finish in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Installed by machinists and tool room professionals, this end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual mills running small-diameter toolpaths.
This end mill is suited for small-feature profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a sharp corner radius is required to blend wall and floor transitions. Its miniature series designation and 0.05 inch diameter make it appropriate for fine-detail work in hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets commonly used in high-speed spindles and precision machining setups. Single-end, centercutting geometry allows plunge entry and full peripheral cutting without a pilot hole.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use miniature end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard 1/8 inch collet systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Secure the shank fully in the collet to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening to prevent runout. Verify spindle and collet concentricity before engaging the cut, as even minor runout significantly affects tool life and surface finish at this diameter. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling.
