The ACCUPRO 14797475 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex three-dimensional profiles. The 0.06-inch cutting diameter and 0.312-inch length of cut make this a miniature-series tool suited for fine detail work in die and mold applications, small-part machining, and tight-tolerance finishing passes. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention needed for consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 30-degree helix angle and three flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, the tool balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality in a compact geometry.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, high-speed spindle setups, and manual mills where a 1/8-inch shank tool is appropriate. The miniature series designation places this tool in applications requiring small-diameter work such as engraving, intricate cavity milling, and prototype machining. The single-end configuration and 2.5-inch overall length allow for adequate reach in shallow-to-moderate-depth features. Machinists working in tool and die, medical device, aerospace component, and precision mold shops will find this geometry well matched to finishing and semi-finishing operations.
Designed as a miniature-series single-end ball end mill for use in any CNC or manual milling machine accepting a 1/8-inch shank tool holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill tool holding and runout requirements. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify collet size matches the 1/8-inch shank diameter and that the tool is secured to the recommended engagement depth for the holder type. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate parameters are appropriate for the 0.06-inch diameter before commencing the cut, as miniature-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to deflection and side load.
