The ACCUPRO 14797353 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 3 mm (0.1181 inches) cutting diameter with a 0.177-inch length of cut and four right-hand spiral flutes ground from micrograin carbide stock. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous metals, stainless steels, and hardened materials. With a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, this end mill handles both plunge and peripheral cuts. It is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill fits applications requiring tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and pocketing in small-diameter work. The 3 mm diameter and 1/8-inch shank make it well suited for die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part fabrication where fine detail and close tolerances are required. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. The single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than indexed when the cutting edge wears.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or toolholder. Suitable for cutting ferrous metals, stainless steel, and hardened workpiece materials where AlTiN coating performance is required.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or toolholder. Use a torque wrench and follow the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure to secure the 1/8-inch shank without overloading the collet. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a cut, and confirm spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation to match this tool's cutting geometry.
