The ACCUPRO 14797333 is a single-end, three-flute square end mill machined from micrograin solid carbide. It carries a 0.25-inch mill diameter, a 0.375-inch length of cut, and a 6-inch overall length, making it a long-reach tool suited for slots, pockets, and profiling operations where standard-length tooling cannot access the workpart. The 30-degree right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting pressure on the workpiece. The bright uncoated finish keeps costs down for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous applications where coatings are not required.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual mills running conventional or climb-milling passes. The extended-reach geometry, with a 3.0-inch reach length and a 3.75-inch neck, allows access to deep cavities and step features that shorter end mills cannot reach. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, maintenance machining, or production environments will find this tool well-suited to light-to-moderate material removal in a variety of metals and plastics.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for any machine tool spindle accepting a 0.25-inch straight shank via ER collet, end mill holder, or set-screw holder. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-CCER series of square carbide end mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or tool-crib technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank to the full grip depth of the collet or holder and torque the retention mechanism to the machine manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial test indicator before committing to a production cut, especially given the extended-reach geometry, which increases deflection risk at aggressive feed rates.
