The ACCUPRO 14797291 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and hard-to-machine materials. With a 0.095-inch cutting diameter and a 0.142-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers tight-tolerance material removal in confined geometries. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces vibration during operation. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures, making this end mill well suited for dry or high-speed machining environments.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The 2.5-inch overall length with a 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER and collet toolholding systems. The extended reach design, with a 0.75-inch reach length, allows access to deeper pockets and stepped features without interference. Micrograin carbide construction supports use in hardened steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar demanding materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed for use with standard 1/8-inch collet and ER toolholding systems in CNC machining centers and precision milling applications requiring small-diameter square end mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician using a compatible collet or toolholder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter. Ensure the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances within the specified range. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings are appropriate for the workpiece material and coating type before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the tool's rated length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
