The ACCUPRO 14797152 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of small-diameter features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 0.025-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute spiral geometry at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool is built for fine detail work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The micrograin carbide substrate provides edge integrity at small cross-sections. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry. The uncoated bright finish suits applications where coating buildup at micro diameters would compromise tolerances. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers or high-speed spindle setups are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge milling in tight-tolerance work such as mold cavities, micro-channel features, and fine engraving paths. The extended reach design, with a 0.075-inch reach length and a 1/8-inch shank, allows access to recessed features while keeping runout manageable at depth. The 0.037-inch length of cut keeps the flute engagement zone short and stiff, reducing deflection at this diameter. It is intended for use on rigid CNC setups with appropriate speeds, feeds, and minimal tool overhang.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-CCER series of small-diameter square end mills.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use a collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8-inch shank diameter and verify runout before cutting. At this diameter, excessive overhang or tool deflection will cause premature breakage. Consult the machine and tooling manufacturer for appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for the specific workpiece material.
