The ACCUPRO 14797060 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.065 inch cutting diameter and a 0.097 inch length of cut, this tool is engineered for small-feature work where tight tolerances are critical. The four-flute, right-hand spiral configuration provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth finish on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. An AlTiN coating extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures, making it well-suited for dry or semi-dry machining. The micrograin carbide substrate adds rigidity and wear resistance in high-speed applications. Machinists and CNC operators working in production or prototype environments will find this end mill appropriate for intricate slot, profile, and contour operations.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers for small-bore slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where fine detail and dimensional accuracy are required. The 0.125 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and tool holders common to vertical and horizontal machining centers. Its single-end construction and 30-degree helix angle make it a practical choice for finishing passes on hardened steels, stainless, and similar materials where heat generation is a concern.
Designed for use in standard ER collet systems and tool holders accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter, typical of CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed spindle applications requiring small-diameter end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth in the collet to prevent tool pullout during cutting. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a tool of this diameter.
