The ACCUPRO 14796909 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal cutting applications. With a 0.04-inch cutting diameter and a 0.12-inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling work where tight tolerances are required. The two-flute, right-hand spiral design provides efficient chip evacuation at small diameters. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention at this scale. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and precision manufacturing environments.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge cuts in ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where a small-diameter, coated carbide tool is specified. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collets used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The regular-length configuration and 1.5-inch overall length make it practical for close-clearance work and shallow-depth micro-feature machining. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without pre-drilling.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard collets accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter. Suited for ferrous metals and hardened materials where AlTiN-coated solid carbide tooling is specified.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC operators. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge-line depth before tightening to prevent runout. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings match the material and diameter before operation. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification prior to use, as micro-diameter end mills are sensitive to edge damage during handling.
