The ACCUPRO 14796900 is a solid micrograin carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.025-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for tight-tolerance work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Two spiral flutes with a 30-degree right-hand helix promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this geometry for micro-milling, engraving, and detail work on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for precision work in production and prototype environments where fine-feature milling is required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks commonly found on vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers. The regular-length profile and centercutting capability allow it to plunge as well as profile. Applications include slotting, contouring, and pocket milling in hardened steels, stainless alloys, titanium, and similar difficult-to-cut materials where AlTiN coating provides a thermal and wear advantage.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 0.125-inch shank, compatible with collet systems and tool holders sized for 1/8-inch shank tooling on CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully in a clean, undamaged collet to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the collet nut. At 0.025-inch diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to deflection and breakage — verify runout with a dial indicator and use conservative feed and speed parameters appropriate for the material and coating.
