The ACCUPRO 14796290 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It measures 0.0312 inches in diameter with a 0.005 inch corner radius and a 1.5 inch overall length. The 4-flute, single-end design features an AlTiN coating that provides heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The right-hand spiral flutes and centercutting capability allow for plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in mold making, aerospace components, and precision part finishing will find this tool suited for fine detail work in hardened and abrasive materials.
This end mill is built for CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, close-tolerance cuts are required. The miniature series sizing makes it well suited for micro-milling applications such as engraving, contour finishing, and slot cutting in hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly found in high-speed spindles. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation in shallow pockets and fine-feature work where chip packing is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8 inch collet or collet chuck systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized, clean collet and verify runout before operation, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to spindle runout and improper seating. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Avoid side-loading or prying during installation, as micrograin carbide is brittle and will fracture under bending stress.
