The ACCUPRO 14796242 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring tight tolerances and a controlled edge radius. It features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter with a 0.015 inch corner radius, producing a consistent blend between the floor and wall of a cut. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with centercutting capability allows this tool to plunge and interpolate. With a micrograin carbide substrate and bright/uncoated finish, it is suited for high-precision work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill fits applications where small-diameter, high-accuracy cuts are required — including mold work, die making, aerospace components, and medical device machining. The miniature series designation indicates it is built for close-tolerance detail work in confined areas. The extended reach design, with a 0.312 inch reach length and 1.75 inch length of cut, allows access to features that standard-length tools cannot reach. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet systems and miniature tool holders used on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed as a direct-fit miniature end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with 1/8 inch collet systems or compatible miniature tool holders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a full stop and machine power locked out per shop safety procedures. Ensure the 1/8 inch shank is fully seated and clamped to the correct torque specification for the collet or holder in use — consult the tool holder manufacturer for clamping guidance. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as miniature carbide tools are susceptible to breakage if run with worn edges or excessive runout. Verify runout at the tool tip does not exceed the mill diameter tolerance of +0.000 / -0.001 inch before beginning a precision operation.
