The ACCUPRO 14796229 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision machining in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.0469-inch cutting diameter with a 0.0050-inch corner radius, a 3-flute spiral geometry, and an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 2.75-inch length of cut and extended-reach design make it well-suited for deep-cavity milling where standard-length tools cannot access the workpiece. This end mill is single-end, centercutting, and right-hand cutting with a right-hand flute direction. It is installed and operated by machinists on CNC machining centers or precision manual mills.
This tool is built for miniature and micro-scale milling operations across aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and precision instrument manufacturing. The extended reach of 0.25 inches and 0.0700-inch usable flute length allow access to confined geometries and detailed floor features. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and miniature toolholders common in precision machining setups. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity needed to maintain dimensional accuracy at small diameters where tool deflection is a primary concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use miniature end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter via ER collet or equivalent miniature toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the 1/8-inch shank securely in a properly sized collet and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. At miniature diameters, verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to prevent premature tool breakage.
