The ACCUPRO 14788528 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. Built with 4 helical flutes and a centercutting geometry, it can plunge directly into a workpiece as well as perform peripheral and slot milling. The 9mm cutting diameter pairs with a 10mm cylindrical shank, allowing secure tool holding in standard collets and end mill holders. With a 14mm length of cut and 70mm overall length, this end mill suits a range of shallow-to-moderate depth milling passes on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for tight-tolerance work.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop environments where consistent dimensional accuracy is required. The cylindrical shank fits ER-style collet chucks and Weldon-style holders commonly found on vertical machining centers. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry, reducing the need for pre-drilled start holes during pocket and slot operations. No chipbreaker geometry keeps the cutting edge geometry straightforward for general-purpose finishing and semi-finishing passes. Machinists and CNC operators in aerospace, mold and die, and general metalworking shops are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement-grade solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard end mill holders and ER collet systems accepting a 10mm cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle powered down and locked out before tool changes. Verify collet or holder bore matches the 10mm shank diameter before seating the tool, and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines during all tooling operations.
