The ACCUPRO 14788409 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineering plastic applications. With a 3/32 inch (0.0940 inch) mill diameter and a 3/16 inch (0.1880 inch) length of cut, this tool is suited for fine detail work, slot milling, and profiling in tight geometries. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Three helical flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The 1/8 inch cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and tool holders common in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments including job shops, tool rooms, and production floors. Its small diameter makes it appropriate for fine-feature milling, engraving, and slot work in workpieces where larger tooling cannot access. The solid carbide construction handles harder workpiece materials and higher spindle speeds compared to high-speed steel alternatives. Machinists and CNC operators working with aluminum, steel, brass, and similar materials will find this tool fits standard 1/8 inch collet setups without modification.
Designed as a standard replacement solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and similar equipment equipped with 1/8 inch collet or tool holder systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, particularly important at this small diameter where runout has a proportionally larger effect on tool life and surface finish.
