The ACCUPRO 14788389 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.0940 inch mill diameter and a 3-flute helical design, this centercutting tool handles slotting, profiling, and plunge cuts in a single setup. The 29 to 31 degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces on small-diameter work. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.1250 inch cylindrical shank, it seats securely in standard collet holders and end mill holders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of tool in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for close-tolerance work requiring a small-diameter cutting tool. The 0.2810 inch length of cut accommodates shallow-to-moderate depth passes appropriate for the tool diameter. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece without a pre-drilled start hole, which is useful for pocket milling and die work. The solid carbide construction provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed when machining ferrous and non-ferrous materials at higher spindle speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use solid carbide square end mill suitable for standard collet systems and end mill holders accepting a 0.1250 inch cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool runout and collet torque. Verify spindle speed and feed rate settings against published cutting data for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Inspect the collet and holder for wear or contamination before seating the shank. Small-diameter carbide end mills are brittle and should not be used to take lateral cuts that exceed the tool diameter without proper speed and feed calculation.
