The ACCUPRO 14788318 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built with four helical flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill can plunge directly into workpiece material while delivering clean side and face cuts. The mill diameter measures 0.0310 inches (1/32 inch), making it well suited for fine detail work, micro-slot cutting, and tight-tolerance profiling. With a 0.1250-inch length of cut and a 0.1250-inch cylindrical shank, this tool fits standard collet systems and tool holders. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically installs and runs this tool.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. Its solid carbide construction provides the rigidity needed for harder workpiece materials including alloy steels, cast iron, and hardened materials at appropriate feeds and speeds. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is a common size that accommodates a wide range of collet chucks and end mill holders. The overall tool length of 1-1/2 inches keeps deflection low when used within the rated length of cut.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement end mill compatible with 1/8-inch collets and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines requiring a 1/32-inch cutting diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the cylindrical shank to the recommended insertion depth in the collet or tool holder and torque the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to protect the small-diameter tool from premature breakage.
