The ACCUPRO 14788315 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a mill diameter of 0.0470 inches (3/64 inch) and three helical flutes, this centercutting tool allows plunge cutting as well as conventional side milling. The 0.0940-inch length of cut and cylindrical 0.1250-inch shank make it suited for tight-tolerance work in small-bore and detail-machining scenarios. Solid carbide construction provides the hardness and heat resistance required for ferrous and non-ferrous materials at high feed rates. It weighs approximately 0.02 pounds. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the typical end users for this tool.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. The 3/64-inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, micro-slot milling, and contour finishing passes in dies, molds, and precision components. The 1.5-inch overall length keeps the tool rigid and minimizes deflection during light finishing cuts. It is packaged and sold individually and is suited for both production environments and prototype shops.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard CNC and manual milling machine collet systems accepting a 0.1250-inch cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 0.1250-inch shank diameter, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run. At this diameter, excessive side load or feed rates will cause tool breakage — follow the tool manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for solid carbide at the given material hardness.
