The ACCUPRO 14735160 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/8-inch diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius, five flutes, and a 1-1/8-inch length of cut. The micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention required for demanding aluminum finishing and profiling operations. At 3 inches overall length with a straight cylindrical shank, this single-end tool fits standard milling machine and machining center setups used by toolmakers, machinists, and CNC operators in job shops and production environments.
This end mill is engineered specifically for aluminum milling applications under the AL-5 series. The chipbreaker geometry and variable index help reduce harmonics and improve chip evacuation during extended cuts. Coolant-through capability supports high-speed operations where thermal management is critical. The bright uncoated finish is optimized for aluminum, minimizing built-up edge. It is suited for both roughing passes with light radial engagement and finishing passes requiring a smooth corner radius blend on pockets, slots, and profiles in aerospace, automotive, and general machining applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and production cutting tool for milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 3/8-inch straight cylindrical shank end mill. Rated for aluminum material applications per AL-5 series designation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before inserting or removing the tool. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder matched to the 3/8-inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout after installation and before cutting to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
