The ACCUPRO 125626 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from submicron-grade solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention required for interrupted cuts and high-feed roughing passes. The chipbreaker geometry along the cutting edges reduces cutting forces and helps break chips into manageable lengths, lowering the risk of chip packing in deep cavities. With a 5/16-inch diameter, a 1-1/8-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length, this tool fits standard 5/16-inch collets and tool holders. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments.
The 125626 is suited for roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in vertical and horizontal machining centers as well as manual milling machines. Its bright, uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice when coolant-based lubrication is used and when coating compatibility with specific workpiece materials is a concern. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flutes are standard for conventional and climb milling setups. Three flutes provide a balance between chip evacuation and radial rigidity at this diameter, making the tool practical for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where a roughing pass precedes a finish cut.
Designed as an OEM-style roughing end mill compatible with standard 5/16-inch collets, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the minimum insertion depth recommended by the tool holder manufacturer, and torque the retention mechanism to the holder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
